United Nations Calls for Remembrance of Transatlantic Slave TradeAccording to the United Nations, it will not be enough to simply remember slavery. We will also need to learn from it. ICHAD 2012 supports the UN call to learn from the past, which is the guiding premise of the conference theme: "The Great Scattering: Solving the Puzzle of Slavery, Race, and Contemporary Health in the African Diaspora."
