Conference attendees must contact the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel to arrange accommodations. To ensure accommodations are available, it is important that you contact the hotel as soon as possible. When contacting the hotel, please indicate that you are affiliated with the ICHAD 2012 event hosted by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The reception and the full conference will be held onsite at the hotel.

The hotel is located in downtown Baltimore across the street from the Baltimore Harbor, at 202 East Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland, 21202, USA. The nightly room rate for ICHAD 2012 attendees is $179.

CONFERENCE DATE AND LOCATION

ICHAD 2012 will be held in Baltimore, Maryland, from July 5 to July 8, 2012.  The conference will be held at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. Baltimore is located approximately 40 miles (63km) from Washington, DC, the U.S. capitol.

GETTING AROUND BALTIMORE AND VICINITY

It’s easy to get around Baltimore using taxis and the MTA bus and train system.  In addition, ICHAD will provide complimentary shuttle service between official ICHAD hotels and special offsite activities, including a guided tour of Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in East Baltimore.

The Amtrak train system and the MARC Train Lines also provide regular service between Baltimore and Washington.  Although conference sessions will be held in Baltimore, attendees will have an opportunity to travel independently or in groups to nearby Washington, DC to visit landmark attractions, including the White House, the United States Capitol, national monuments and memorials, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture
